Chilled water AC systems are the most powerful and energy-efficient cooling solution available for large buildings. Unlike conventional AC systems that use refrigerant to cool air directly, chilled water systems use a centralised chiller plant to cool water which is then circulated through Fan Coil Units (FCUs) installed throughout the building to deliver consistent and comfortable cooling to every space.
Chilled Water Distribution
The chilled water is pumped through a network of insulated pipes to Fan Coil Units (FCUs) installed throughout the building on every floor and in every zone.
Fan Coil Units (FCU)
Each FCU passes warm room air over the chilled water coil — cooling the air before distributing it back into the room through supply air grilles.
Return Water Cycle
The warmed water returns back to the chiller plant to be cooled again — completing the continuous cooling cycle efficiently and reliably.
Cooling Tower
The heat removed from the building is rejected to the atmosphere through a cooling tower installed on the rooftop or external area of the building.
Centralised Control
The entire building cooling system can be monitored and controlled from a single central BMS control point — making management simple, efficient and highly effective.
